Meet Our Director
Hello! My name is Heather Nufer, and I am the Center Director at Avant Garde Preschool Sheridan. I began my career in childcare in 1999, and I have loved every step of the journey. Watching each child grow in their own unique way is one of the greatest rewards of this work.
Continuing my education is very important to me. I hold a Child Development Associate credential and will soon earn my associate degree in early childhood education. I am also a proud member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Providing families with a safe, educational, and fun-loving environment is my top priority every day. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters. We love watching movies, eating Mexican food, and planting flowers in our garden.
