Welcome to our warm and welcoming preschool in the Brookside neighborhood of Tulsa, where children from infancy through school-age are cared for in a space that truly feels like home. Avant Garde – Brookside is nestled inside a charming, converted house—giving families a cozy, comfortable environment that feels more like a neighborhood school than a traditional center.
Here, your child’s safety, happiness, and well-being come first. Our small, close-knit team is known for their friendliness and genuine love for the children we serve. Families consistently tell us how much they appreciate our caring staff, our homemade meals, and the intimate, community-centered atmosphere that sets us apart.
Our infant program provides a calm, loving start for our youngest children, with attentive caregivers who respect each child’s unique rhythms and needs. As children grow, they move into toddler and preschool classrooms designed to spark fun, exploration, and hands-on learning every day. For school-age children, we offer after-school care and summer programming that blends creativity, learning, and play.
We’re proud to serve many neighborhood families and friends of friends who are looking for a supportive, community-oriented place for their child to learn and grow. We also welcome families who speak Spanish and celebrate the diverse cultures that enrich our school community.

Meet Our Director
My name is Nikki, and I am the Center Director for Avant Garde Preschool and Early Learning Centers Brookside location. I’ve worked in early education for 20 years as both an educator and center director. I’m excited to work with you as an education partner to ensure success for all learners. I focus on building strong relationships with our Avant Garde Preschool and Early Learning Centers community. Additionally, I make myself available for parents and welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the year. When I’m not at the center, I enjoy spending time with my three children and going to Oklahoma University football games!
